Chong Lou  middle school needs a dormitory because it is the only middle school in the town. The school day does not end until 9 pm (2100 hours). Most of the students come from villages far away. They can’t get home at a reasonable hour. So, they stay in the dormitory.  The parents must pay dorm fees including meals. (The dormitory is on the left; the school on the right)
