“Shao Hua Yi” (Burn Flower Clothes) holiday is from the first until the fifteen day in July (Chinese calendar) in which to honor their ancestors. At home in front of the Ancestor altar, they burn the offerings.
In the old tradition, pre-1972, they burn printed pictures of clothing, wishing their ancestors dress well.
As the economy got better, they also burn printed pictures of watches, money, airlines tickets, cruises, and et al. Today people wishing to share the wealth with those who have gone before them.
